About us

Milano Film Network is the organization created in 2013 with a grant from Fondazione Cariplo by combining the experience and resources of seven film festivals held in Milan – the African, Asian and Latin American Film Festival, Filmmaker Festival, Invideo, Milano Film Festival, MIX LGBTQ+ and Queer Culture Film Festival, Sguardi Altrove Film Festival and the Sport Movies & Tv Fest – with the aim of comparing and sharing organizational, production and experimental experiences, gathering the needs of individual situations and becoming a reference for the entire film and audiovisual sector in the area. Milano Film Network has always aimed to be an inclusive project, not only for industry professionals, but also for institutions and socioeconomic actors. Recognizing the value of cinema as an art form and production project that generates positive spillover effects on a broad urban fabric, the goal of the Milano Film Network today is to organize and promote a calendar of programming activities that include training and educational paths about media as well as an industry project to support independent Italian cinema through the development workshop In Progress MFN, the support fund for Italian films in post-production L’Atelier MFN and the professional days Milano Industry Days – MID by MFN.
