Sarajevo, tra il 1914 e il 1918; nel 1992; e poi nel 1995; e oggi: Les ponts de Sarajevo è un film-omnibus, una collana di tredici sguardi differenti, su una città che è ponte simbolico e fisico, tra Otto e Novecento, tra Est e Ovest, tra età dei blocchi ideologici ed età delle nuove democrazie. Novella verista, apologo surreale e saggio postmoderno convivono in un film che vanta i contributi di autori diversissimi tra loro, di generazioni anche molto distanti, da Godard a Isild Le Besco, da Leonardo Di Costanzo a Cristi Puiu; fanno da cornice le sequenze animate del fumettista belga François Schuiten. Evento speciale a Cannes 2014, è stato proiettato a Sarajevo e in altre città il 27 giugno, anniversario dell’inizio della prima guerra mondiale.

Sarajevo between 1914 and 1918; the Sarajevo of 1992; the Sarajevo of 1995; and the Sarajevo of today: Bridges of Sarajevo is a film anthology of thirteen different points of view on a city that is a symbolic and physical bridge between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, between East and West, and between the ages of ideological blocs and new democracies. A realist novel, a dreamlike fable and a post-modern essay coexist in a film that boasts contributions from a diverse range of authors - from Godard to Isild Le Besco, and Leonardo di Costanza to Cristi Piui - that are held together by the animated sequences of the Belgian cartoonist François Schuiten. A special event at Cannes 2014, it was screened in Sarajevo and in other cities on 27th June, the anniversary of the start of World War I.
